About the Role
The post is to support the expansion and development of Edge Hill University Nursing and Midwifery provision. In this post, you will play a significant role with the curricula and practice learning of nursing and midwifery students through leading innovations in digital health and/ or immersive technologies (pre-registration, post registration and CPD activities).
You will be expected to contribute to the research activities of one of our Research Units and meet the qualitative and qualitative requirements for submission to the next Research Excellence Framework exercise.

About You
You will be a UK registered nurse or midwife or healthcare professional with recent experience in an academic role and/or significant recent experience of leading innovations in digital health and/ or immersive technologies that will develop nursing and midwifery students’ knowledge, behaviours and skills and support them to meet their practice learning and programme outcomes.
You will possess significant and demonstrable practice-based/academic experience underpinned by a sound working knowledge of the contemporary healthcare professional landscape. You will have an effective communication & leadership style and possess excellent interpersonal skills. Time and workload management skills are a key requirement to this post and having a strong commitment to the welfare and success of students.
You will also have a high level of awareness of interprofessional education. It would be advantageous to have experience of research activity and publications.
To be successful you will further enrich our students’ experience through your expertise and subject knowledge as evidenced through your qualifications and extensive experience of healthcare professional practice.
It is important to note that the successful applicant will be required to undertake an enhanced disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service and that this will form part of the conditions of employment.
