We’re looking for a Pre-Construction Manager to join our Ministry of Justice Team based in Basingstoke. Within this role working among a great team and our diverse portfolio of projects shortly coming online.


Location: Basingstoke – this role will involve travel supporting onsite deliveries

Contract: Permanent, Full Time – flexible and part-time hours available if desired, just let us know


Responsibilities


As a Pre-Construction Manager, you’ll be working within the Ministry of Justice Team, supporting them in various areas.


Your day to day will include:


  • Supporting the generation of pre-construction proposals for authorisation and submission to meet framework requirements and business unit margin expectations.
  • To determine the building services requirements and solutions for each project, the technical and operational considerations, risks and opportunities, value engineering, in order and identify opportunities to increase margin on contracts.
  • To support the fulfilment of contracts starting on time and in a safe, professional manner.
  • To implement all of Kier Group's relevant policies including those for SHE and risk management.
  • Review and make recommendations on supply chain partners suitability to tender on individual projects.

This role of Pre-Construction Manager is great for you if you:


  • Previous pre-construction experience on projects up to £5m
  • Commercial and contractual awareness
  • Ability to maintain relationships with clients, customers and suppliers
  • Team leader with organisational and time management skills
  • Membership of a relevant body (CIOB, APM, CIAT, RICS)
