An accountancy practice based in Nottingham is seeking a Practice Manager / Office Manager to join their expanding business. The business mainly undertakes accounts preparation, tax and advisory and has a strong presence throughout the east Midlands.
An ambitious manager or accountant is required for this role, you must be keen to achieve and have the energy to drive the business forward. You must have managerial and leadership abilities with a desire to achieve success through people. Ideally an MBA or ACCA although not a prerequisite, you must have experience of being a senior person in an Accounts department of any industry.

You will provide a key role in the accountancy practice:
The Practice managers plan, organise and co-ordinate the activities and resources of offices within commercial spectrum, Managing members of staff, ensuring their development and the business continues to achieve its growth targets.
You will be expected to provide a significant plan, organise and co-ordinate the activities and resources of Office and it link to the Director whilst willing to undertake assignments when necessary.
You will use your knowledge and experience to aid the practice in devising and implementing strategic direction to ensure the continued growth of the business.
Proven technical accounting skills including Staff management
General tax, VAT returns and accounting experience
Manage the day-to-day activities of the company
Plans work schedules, assigns tasks and delegates responsibilities
Advises on the handling of all correspondence and enquiries relating to accounts, sales records.
· Reviewing accounts and tax return documentation prepared by junior staff
· Managing the practice workload, resources, and established team of junior staff, to ensure timely delivery of work to a consistent standard
· Mentoring and leading the staff, setting staff objectives and overseeing the company's internal procedures
· Practice performance management and reporting to Director
· Review, update and apply company-wide working procedures
· ensures that procedures for considering, issuing, amending and endorsing insurance policies are adhered to
· Manage the strategic development and direction of the practice
· Plans, organises and co-ordinates the activities and resources
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
The Successful Applicant - should be:
Qualified accountant - ideally an MBA or ACCA
What's on Offer:
Salary: expected £25650- £26850
Hours : 37.5hrs per week
Holidays 28 days per annum (inc. BH's)
