As the Practice Manager for our Global Xero Accounting Practice you will possess in-depth knowledge and expertise in utilising Xero and have experience of managing operations at scale using automation tools and performance practice management systems. In this role, you will lead the globally distributed teams serving all of Osome clients who use Xero (currently around ~700 companies).
You will be responsible for overseeing our accounting operations globally within our Xero practice, managing a team of Accountants, and ensuring high-quality client services. You will be driving the financial success of this business line by taking on Profit and Loss (P&L) responsibilities.
Your expertise in Xero, combined with your strong leadership and accounting background, will play a crucial role in driving the success of our accounting practice.
What you'll be doing:
Client Relationship Management:
- Serve as a primary point of contact for key clients, building and maintaining strong and professional relationships.
- Understand clients' unique accounting needs and provide tailored solutions leveraging Xero's and other tools’ capabilities.
- Collaborate with clients to streamline their accounting processes, troubleshoot issues, and deliver exceptional client service.
Leadership and Team Management:
- Foster a collaborative and positive work environment, encouraging professional development and maximising the accounting’s team productivity.
- Oversee workload distribution, ensure deadlines are met, and maintain high-quality standards in all accounting deliverables.
- Oversee the preparation and review of financial statements, ensuring accuracy, compliance with accounting standards, and adherence to deadlines.
Continuous Improvement
- Stay on the pulse of Xero's latest features, updates, and best practices, and proactively introduce improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
- Implement progressive practice management tools, supercharging team efficiency.
- Empower your team and clients through insightful training sessions and workshops on Xero's effective usage.
Financial Management and P&L Ownership:
- Assume overall responsibility for the financial management of our accounting practice, including Profit and Loss (P&L) responsibilities.
- Analyse financial data, identify areas of improvement, and implement strategies to optimise profitability and financial performance.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial goals, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives.
What we're looking for:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. ACA, CPA, or equivalent qualification is highly desirable.
Extensive experience working in a supervisory or managerial role, ideal having lead internationally distributed teams
Xero Certified/Xero Champion/Xero Practice Manager - proven expertise in utilising Xero, including advanced knowledge of Xero's features, workflows, and integrations.
Proven expertise in managing operations at scale using proper practice management tools to keep track of the team’s performance real-time
Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
Analytical mindset with the ability to identify areas for improvement and implement effective solutions.
