Aerial Access Services Ltd has been trading since 2007. We provide a professional and experienced breakdown, maintenance and routine thorough examinations service to all powered access users. We are the largest private service provider for repair and maintenance in Scotland. We boast a very large end user customer base and work with many leading manufacturers worldwide.
In your role as a Service Engineer, you will be responsible for assisting to maintain a large leet of Powered Access machinery in Scotland and the surrounding Islands, ensuring all mandatory checks are carried out in a timely manner.
Attention to detail and highest quality control with excellent organisational skills are required. Occasional overnight will be required when traveling distance.
Full training program will be put in place for the equipment the candidate has not worked on. We also have another 5 engineers to hand whom you will work closely with for information and guidance and training.
Service Engineer Requirements
The Person
- Apprentice trained technician in with a minimum of NVQ level 2 qualification. Relevant to the industry.
- Manufacturers’ training courses an advantage.
- CAP Qualified; to an advantage
- IPAF Demonstrator licence.
- Full driving licence.
Experience
- Good understanding of various types of mewps, tele handlers, and vehicle mounted platforms will be of advantage.
Skills
- Flexible.
- Organised.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Clear communicator, both verbal and written.
- Able to work to deadlines.
- Must be able to work without supervision.
- Well presented as this is a customer facing role.
- The ability to work to tight deadlines without compromising safety or legal compliance.
Knowledge Of
- Powered access experience and assessed by IPAF to cap standards.
- Hydraulics.
- Electrics.
- Electronics.
- Internal combustion engines.
- Electric, Mains and diesel-powered equipment.
- Electrical and hydraulic Schematic understanding.
Your Role As A Service Engineer Will Include
- Being responsible for service examinations, call outs and repairs of our 1500-2000 private owned powered access customer based Both on and off site and at our workshop.
- Customer and warranty support for leading manufactures- JLG, Multitel , CTE, Skyjack, Niftylift, CPL, Spiderlift, Aldercote to name a few.
- Raise quotations based on defects found.
- Occasional work or major repairs at aerial access workshop.
- Carry out LOLER examinations in line with statutory compliance.
- Attend Breakdowns.
