Job description
We are seeking to recruit a postdoctoral researcher in inorganic materials synthesis to work in a multidisciplinary Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council Programme Grant team to discover new materials for Next Generation Photovoltaics.
You should have a PhD in Chemistry, Physics or Materials Science, a strong publication track record and a demonstrated commitment to excellence.
Exceptional skills in solid-state or solution non-oxide inorganic materials synthesis and design are essential.
Expertise in advanced structural characterisation and / or property measurement is desirable.
Any applicants who are still awaiting their PhD to be awarded should be aware that if successful, they will be appointed at grade 6, spine point 30. Upon written confirmation that they have been successful in being awarded their PhD, they will be moved onto grade 7, spine point 31 from the date of their award.
This post is offered on a fixed term basis until July 2026.
