The University of St Andrews is seeking to appoint an exceptional Post Production Editor to join its award-winning Corporate Communications team.
You will be an experienced video editor, with a gift for storytelling and creativity, a proven track record in developing digital content to the highest standards for use across a variety of platforms. Sure-footed on social and digital media, and with an understanding of the importance of planning integrated communications activities across multiple channels.
Working in a fast-paced environment as an integral member of the University’s dynamic Visual Communications team, you will have a can-do approach and demonstrate the value of expert story-telling. You will play a key role in the team to deliver high-quality content for coordinated campaigns in support of the University of StAndrews Strategy 2022 – 2027.
Working under the direction of the Video Producer, the post-holder will support the turnaround of high-quality digital content working to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. You will support the Video Producer with day-to-day video editing tasks as part of the University’s Communications Office, edit and maintain a comprehensive library of digital content, and provide support for the visual communications team on shoots as required.
You will work closely with our visual communications team and have a developed understanding of the importance of the ways in which video and images work most effectively together, using these skills to develop compelling content showcasing St Andrews’ world-leading research, teaching, and student experience.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced communications all-rounder with a flair for creativity to join the UK’s leading university. Previous experience of communications management and strategy development at a senior level is essential.
