Department Description
Global Risk:
The risk team in Fidelity covers the management oversight of Fidelity’s risk profile including key risk frameworks, policies and procedures and oversight and challenge processes. The team partner with the businesses to ensure Fidelity manages its risk profile within defined risk appetite.
The team is circa 100-strong and growing due to investment in this area. It covers all facets of risk management including the definition of a global enterprise-wide risk framework.
Group Risk / Enterprise Risk Function:
The ERM function is led from Singapore and the primary purpose of ERM is to ensure that the business is managing risk within its agreed risk appetite, and in accordance with the associated ERM Framework. The ERM function is also responsible for capital management, 2nd line oversight of strategic and financial risks, risk regulatory reporting, risk appetite, risk culture and the ERM framework. It also acts as the oversight function for model risk.
Purpose of your role
This role will play an important role supporting enhancements planned to the global policy framework. You will work closely with the Head of Policy Governance, the Head of Enterprise Risk, the ERM programme team and other stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead or support different aspects of the enhancements planned to the global policy framework and structure:
    • Work with group and regional colleagues to identify all live global and local policies.
    • Drive forward and deliver enhancements to the global policy inventory, policy templates and wider documentation framework.
    • Support implementation of consistent global and local policy governance.
    • Support the roll out of enhancements to the documentation framework across the global policy portfolio, including linkages to regulations and within the GRC system
    • Deliver enhancements to end-user tools (e.g. the policy portal), communications and participate in senior management forums to support business awareness and usage.
    • Support training and communication policy related initiatives
    • Provide expert support and guidance where necessary.
  • Work with the ERM system design and implementation team on regulatory, policy and control framework improvement related projects.
  • Collaborate with and leverage capacity and support from other areas of ERM and Global Risk (e.g. from Regional Risk teams).
Experience and Qualifications Required
  • Experience in risk related roles in the financial sector is required. Experience in asset management and or ERM risk roles is preferable.
  • Hands on experience of policy and procedure drafting and management is essential
  • Strong presenting skills, and experience and ability to manage groups of large stakeholders
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Strong Word and PowerPoint skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Good communication and negotiation skills
  • Dedicated to maintaining high quality standards and client satisfaction
  • Excellent organisation and planning skills, with the ability to meet key milestones
  • An ability to think logically and analyse complex data, managing several work-streams at the same time to deliver great results
  • University degree required and professional qualification / certifications preferred
