Podcast Producer/Researcher 2023
Contract type:
Full time
Location: Working from the London office (Holborn) at least 3 days, with worldwide travel for client meetings where appropriate
Salary: £25-30k per annum, depending on experience
We have a unique business model—we partner with incredibly interesting people with strong social media followings, and create a podcast entirely around them in a joint venture. They present it, and we do everything else: research, scripting, audio, editing, monetisation, branding, and promotion.
We are a division of Right Angles, a reputation management consultancy for ultra-high-net-worth individuals, for whom we also create podcasts.
About you
The applicant must have an interest in podcasting, business, current affairs, and social media. The role requires working alongside and supporting colleagues in the planning, production and delivery of various podcasts on a variety of subjects. The applicant must be confident, driven and work to tight deadlines with little supervision, aiming beyond the brief.
Key Accountabilities
- Facilitate our podcast production, managing the booking and recording
- Maintain an up-to-date contacts database and guest lists
- Social media promotion that reflects the tone and interests of individual partners
- Research and liaise with potential guests
- Monitor traditional and social media outlets—identify opportunities to engage with key target audiences, potential news stories, and identifying key sector influencers
- Prepare reports and attend meetings
- Create original graphics
Qualifications & Experience (essential):
- A degree in a related field, such as (but not limited to) Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, Media & Communications, English Literature, Politics
- Audio editing experience
- Proficient in Adobe Photoshop Experience (preferred):
- Experience with WordPress
- Video editing experience
We are looking for someone who is:
- Self-motivated—willing to offer suggestions to improve the outcomes
- Organised, able to work under pressure and have excellent time-management skills
- Able to engage and communicate well with others—you need to be comfortable working with very senior people and high-net-worth individuals
- Prepared to work, or be available on occasion to respond at unsociable hours including weekends, in order to manage social media presence and output for clients (this is not always a 9-5 job)
- A team player—share responsibility for all tasks and, unasked, offer to help support others in the team
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills—you need to be hot on spelling, grammar and proof-reading.
