Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled and dependable plumber with an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check to join our team. As a plumber, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems and fixtures to ensure their proper functioning. The enhanced DBS check requirement ensures that our customers can have full confidence in the integrity and professionalism of our plumbers.

Responsibilities:

  • Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, valves, and appliances.
  • Inspect plumbing systems and identify any issues or potential problems.
  • Perform routine maintenance to prevent future plumbing emergencies.
  • Respond to service calls and effectively troubleshoot plumbing issues.
  • Diagnose and repair plumbing problems, such as leaks, blockages, or damaged pipes.
  • Install and connect water supply lines, drainage systems, and appliances (e.g., sinks, toilets, showers, water heaters).
  • Collaborate with other team members to complete projects within specified timelines and budgets.
  • Adhere to plumbing codes, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, including materials used and hours worked.
  • Provide excellent customer service and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Stay updated with industry advancements and new plumbing techniques.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a plumber, with a minimum of [X] years of practical experience.
  • Valid plumbing license or certification.
  • Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
  • In-depth knowledge of plumbing systems, tools, and equipment.
  • Strong understanding of plumbing codes, regulations, and safety guidelines.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to accurately diagnose plumbing issues.
  • Proficient in reading blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Physical stamina and strength to handle physically demanding tasks.
  • Availability for emergency calls and occasional overtime work.

Note: The enhanced DBS check ensures that the plumber has undergone a thorough background check, including a criminal record check, to ensure the safety and trustworthiness of our customers and the organization.

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 6 months

Salary: £15.24-£25.25 per hour
