Commercial Mobile Plumber
Concept Resources are working with a mechanical services client who provide services in the education, hospital and housing sector. They are looking for an experienced, mobile plumber to join their team in the Birmingham region.
You are required to travel to and work at various locations within Birmingham as the company shall reasonably require for the proper performance of your duties, as prepayment cards and vans will be provided. The duties included for each job description are not exhaustive and further requirements may be added, flexibility in your job will be required.
SALARY: £28,000 - £31,000 pa
HOURS: On siteMonday – Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm (40 hours per week)

Summary of Duties:
To carry out assembly, installation, upgrades and conversions to Plumbing systems i.e wet and dry systems within commercial properties (hospitals). Repairs and maintenance to Plumbing systems i.e wet and dry systems within commercial properties.
- Assemble pipe sections, tubing, or fittings using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, plastic solvent, caulking or soldering, brazing, or welding equipment.
- Cut openings in structures to accommodate pipes or pipe fittings, using hand or power tools.
- Fill pipes or plumbing fixtures with water or air and observe pressure gauges to detect and locate leaks.
- Locate and mark the positions of pipe installations, connections, passage holes, or fixtures in structures, using measuring instruments such as rulers or levels.
- Measure, cut, thread or bend pipe to required angle using hand or power tools or machines such as pipe cutters, pipe-threading machines, or pipe-bending machines.
- Install pipe assemblies, fittings, valves, appliances such as dishwashers or water heaters, or fixtures such as sinks or toilets, using hand or power tools.
- Install underground storm, sanitary, or water piping systems, extending piping as needed to connect fixtures and plumbing.
- Using knowledge and fault finding experience to provide high levels first time fix and customer care.
- To carry out the day to day responsive maintenance, service and repairs as instructed.
- To carry out servicing and safety checks on all plumbing systems and identify any necessary works required to ensure that the plumbing systems are in good order and comply to current safety regulations.
- Attend service and reactive breakdowns as requested, inspect and identify all required works to function correctly and repair in timely and cost effective manner.
- Ensure that all works and repairs are completed safely and in accordance with current codes and practices.

PERSON SPECIFICATION:
Essential:
- Recognised plumbing apprenticeship and/or qualification i.e NVQ level 3 Plumbing and/or City & Guilds
- Plumbing experience within the commercial sector e.g. Analysing, fault finding, repair and maintenance of plumbing installations and fittings.
- Flexible approach: due to travel aspect, this is a mobile position that will involve travelling to multiple sites . Due to customer demands, the ability to work additional hours over and above contracted hours if and when required, where overtime would be payable.
- Be part of the emergency call out team on a rota basis
- To promote a positive and professional attitude to all customers and staff.
- Self- motivated and able to work under own initiative as well as within a team.
- Willing to undertake further training/development within the post as required.
- The ability to communicate effectively with tenants and other members of the public.
- Full UK driving Licence
