We are looking for experienced Plant Operators to join our growing continuous operation, Production Team. Our Plant Operators will work to Standard Operating Procedures, operating a variety of machinery, producing our innovative, precision parts, to an advanced specification and high quality standard.
What you’ll be doing as our Plant Operator:
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures producing high quality parts.
- Completing processes from needling to melt Infiltration.
- Loading, operating and unloading a variety of furnaces.
- Champion continuous improvement and provide feedback to internal departments on the manufacturing process.
- Process jobs as scheduled on the internal database as well as entering operational data regarding quality and output.
- Action Quality Issues and support all Non-Conformance meetings.
- Support product and process optimisation in line with the quality needs of the business.
- Maintain high levels of Health & Safety standards.
The Skills, Knowledge and Experience you will need as our Plant Operator:
- Proven background in a large batch Manufacturing environment.
- Experience of working to high specifications.
- Competent working to Standard Operating Procedures.
- Identify and utilise best practice methods for working tight tolerances.
- Able to work to tight time lines and multi-task in a busy manufacturing environment.
- Experience in operating in a 5S environment.
- Able to work to high safety and quality standard, with a variety of equipment and materials.
- The ability to work as part of a team and on your own with minimum supervision.
- Excellent problem solving skills.
Need to have:
- Experience working to SOP’s.
- Manufacturing and machine operation experience.
- A multidisciplinary approach to work.
- 5s experience.
- A delivery focused approach to quality of work.
- The ability to work at a pace whilst in pressure situations.
Nice to have:
- Furnace Operating experience
- Basic lean manufacturing principles
- Continuous improvement
- RCCA’s
- MS Office skills

4 days, 4 off, 4 days, 4 off, 4 nights, 4 off, 4 nights, 4 off. (6am - 6pm)
Salary
£38,500
