We are currently recruiting for plant maintenance apprentices to join us in September 2022 to embark on a 4 year Apprenticeship Programme for 16-21 year olds. The Programme combines ‘block release’ training at Bridgend College, a specialist facility in South Wales, with on-the-job training at our depot in Cwmbran. You’ll usually attend college for one week out of every four.
The rest of the time, you’ll be a key member of our team. Carrying out supervised services, maintenance and repairs, you’ll keep our equipment in great condition. Needless to say, as there are so many types of equipment, you’ll have to be adaptable, as well as have a keen interest in engineering and mechanics. A friendly, helpful nature is important too.
An Apprenticeship is a big commitment, so you’ll need to work hard and show you’re serious about developing a career with us. You should also be 16 or over and have (or be predicted) GCSEs (or equivalent) in English, Maths and a technical subject at grade C/D or above. In return, we’ll give you all the training and support you need to develop a skilled trade. We’ll give you an industry leading salary which increases each year of the apprenticeship, 20 holidays per year (excluding Bank Holidays) and annual incentives when you successfully complete your first year.
