Oakington Garden Centre is an independent, family run business with over 40 years of experience in horticulture and garden design. An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our enthusiastic team and help develop our growing and highly popular business.
This role will suit an individual with a background in horticulture or landscaping with a reliable work history looking to work within the garden retail industry. This role would involve working predominantly outdoors across the changing seasons; the ability to work effectively within a team as well as independently is essential.
As a member of the plant area team, you would be responsible for working alongside our existing dedicated outdoor sales team under the guidance of our management team in order to complete a range of tasks including:
Plant maintenance and care
Pricing, displaying & merchandising a variety of products
Giving guidance and advice to customers with their purchases
Providing quality customer service
General daily housekeeping and plant area maintenance
Adhering to company policies

Salary: From £11.50 per hour
