Join a Market Leading Planning & Environment Team!
This prestigious global law firm is currently seeking a highly motivated newly qualified consenting lawyer to join their team primarily supporting the Energy & Infrastructure sectors on diverse and high-profile projects across energy, transport, and large-scale developments. The role could be based in Glasgow or Edinburgh and also has flexible working.
They are looking for a candidate who possesses experience in relevant areas such as the Planning Act 2008, the Transport and Works Act 1992, the Town and Country Planning Act 1990, compulsory acquisition/purchase and compensation matters, EIA/HRA, inquiries/examinations, and judicial review. While expertise in all these areas is not essential, familiarity with some of them is preferred.
You will join the largest dedicated planning team in the UK. This team of specialists covers a wide range of major projects, and the Energy & Infrastructure consenting specialists provide advisory services on high-profile initiatives, including offshore wind, large-scale solar, carbon capture plants, nuclear power, energy networks and pipelines, as well as infrastructure projects like water infrastructure, airports, new roads, rail, and rapid transit systems.
