Up to £65,000 (depending on experience) + bonus and benefits

We’re currently transforming our capability within the Connections Planning, Media and Insight function, so as part of this transformation (and that of the wider marketing team), we’re looking for a passionate Audience Planner to lead on the development of audience planning.
Your purpose
Working as one team with our insights and media SMEs, marketing strategy teams, plus external partners, you will own the delivery of the audience insights agenda. This will enable our focus on consumer centric marketing and message deployment across the customer journey. This is a very exciting role and is critical as we further develop our integrated customer marketing strategy that supports the business objectives across the UK. We’re looking for someone who can wear two hats – the audience strategist, and implementor who will create and deliver an end-to-end audience strategy across all business verticals.
You will play a crucial role in developing and executing effective audience targeting strategies across various marketing channels both paid, owned and earned channels. You’ll leverage market research, data analytics, and consumer insights to identify and understand our target audience, enabling us to deliver tailored and impactful marketing campaigns. To be successful, you’ll possess strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of audience segmentation, and the ability to translate data-driven insights into actionable recommendations.
You will be based in either our Guernsey office or remotely within the UK. Although travel will be required, so if you’re based in the UK, you’ll need to be happy to travel to Guernsey up to 5 times a month for essential collaborative team working. Travel can be made easily via our private airbus which has routes from Southampton and East Midlands.
Your role
- Conduct thorough research and analysis to identify audiences for our marketing campaigns and utilise data analytics tools and techniques to segment audiences based on demographics, psychographics, behaviours, and other relevant factors
- Leverage data sources and analytics platforms to gather insights and create audience profiles, personas, and customer journey maps.
- Define the strategy and operational framework for accessing, integrating, and activating of 1P/2P/3P data that drives both audience understanding and business growth
- Broker 2P and 3P data agreements that are commercially beneficial to audience planning at Specsavers
- Partner with stakeholders to ensure 1P data is being used to the highest ethical and legal standards
- Working with the media, CRM, and Agency teams to set the direction of Audiences, driving adoption of new audiences within the addressable channels
What you’ll bring
- A passion for understanding consumer behaviour and translating insights into effective marketing strategies with proven experience in audience planning, insights, or marketing strategy roles
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, market research advertising, communications, or a related field. Qualified by experience may be considered
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and derive actionable insights.
- Familiarity with audience segmentation techniques and methodologies, media channels and CRM with an understanding of how audience insights can power their deployment
- Solid understanding and operational experience of the Martech landscape in relation to precision planning, CDP’s, audience insights, media buying and data clean rooms
