Pay: £12.50 per hour
Place of work: Employers home, in Winstanley, Wigan.
Hours: 18 hours a week
Shifts: Every Wednesday and Alternate Sundays: 8am - 8pm
Job description: We are a family based in Winstanley, Wigan looking for a caring and energetic person to join our team of 5 Personal Assistants for a 22 year old young man who has complex special needs: quadriplegic cerebral palsy, epilepsy, chronic chest problems, and is registered blind.
You will be a 1:1 PA supporting my son in our home, your role will involve full personal care, hoisting, preparation of medication and feeds etc. alongside accompanying on days out to his day centre, to hospital appointments and assisting with other activities/hobbies throughout the day so a good sense of humour and some experience with children would be beneficial. We are hoping to find someone that he can develop a good relationship with and can act as a companion, supporting him with any activities and day trips alongside his care needs, therefore care experience is desirable but full training will be given as we are more interested in finding the right person to suit the role.
