Position: Staff physical therapy assistant (PTA) | Full-time
Setting: Skilled Nursing Facility
*To apply, candidates must hold a California Physical Therapy Assistant license. Will consider Out of State and/or recently graduated candidates who are eligible and have started the process of obtaining a CA license with the board.
*We will not consider candidates with alternative licenses such as CNA.

Description:
Under the supervision of the Physical Therapist, the physical therapy assistant will implement the patient’s care plan for rehabilitation. Help mentally and/or physically impaired residents to participate in tasks to restore, reinforce, and enhance their performance.
Responsibilities:
- Implement the patient’s care plan for rehabilitation.
- Communicate patient progress or problems to supervisor and other team members; assist with patient scheduling and post charges daily to patient records.
- Document patient care in accordance with regulatory, licensing, payer and accrediting requirements.
- Instruct patient’s family or nursing staff in follow-through programs.
- Maintain equipment and work area in a safe and clean condition.
- Handle job responsibilities in accordance appropriate professional standard and applicable state/federal laws.
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program culminating in an associate’s degree.
- Current and valid California Physical Therapy Assistant license or in the process of obtaining one.
- CPR certification.
Work Experience:
- 1 years acute care and/or skilled nursing facility experience (PREFERRED). New graduates welcome to apply.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00 - $43.00 per hour
