Job description
The Videographer & Photographer is a crucial member of the Global Communications team, reporting to the Associate Director, Content & Design and working closely with stakeholders across Global Communications and the OMERS global organization.
We are looking for a compelling storyteller to bring the OMERS brand story to life through video and photography. The successful candidate will conceptualize, craft and produce engaging content for our organization, across a variety of channels. Balancing your cinematography, narrative and editing skills; you'll work with our clients to define the next level of video and photo content for OMERS.
This role will also envision the photographic tone of our people, events and business. From shooting portraits to capturing our community in action; we strive to showcase our own original photography. And we want you to define it.
Responsibilities :
Creates compelling stories using video and photography with excellence in delivery from creative concepts to treatments and industry leading creative editing.
Develops, presents, and implement strategic recommendations that support the delivery of OMERS communications across channels , underpinned by best-practices .
Use strong technical skills to capture , edit and produce engaging video content.
Defines the video , photographic and motion graphic production direction s that elevates OMERS branded content .
Ensures content keeps our channels’ best practices in mind (correct formatting, compression, and accessibility).
Act as an evangelist of best practices and modern storytelling trends.
Provide creative recommendations to ensure our clients' message is effectively communicated.
Leads best practices for our video and photographic file repositories.
Partners with vendors to product video, as needed.
Skills & Expertise:
Proven experience as a Videographer and Photographer.
Expertise in video and photography storytelling through production, editing, and post-production.
Excellent technical and creative skills.
Knowledge of video and SLR cameras, lighting, and other audio/visual equipment.
Ability to work quickly and efficiently.
Excellent eye for composition.
Strong collaboration and communication skills.
Ability to work independently on assigned projects.
Knowledge of best practices and modern trends.
