Job Summary
The Studio Photographer position is a 1099 contract-based opportunity within our Grand Rapids, MI high-volume studio. This position will be responsible for capturing images of footwear samples within a set workflow: watching for placement, prep, consistency, and flagging (as necessary) to bring out the best of each style. A shooting guide and workflow will be provided; familiarity with Capture One, adjusting exposure / color, using overlays, naming, and file management will be required. Being able to pay strict attention to detail in a highly repetitious workflow is essential. Experience with product photography, Mac OSX, Adobe Creative Suite and Finder are highly desired. Applicants should be self-motivated, hard-working, and organized.
This is a hourly, contract based opportunity at $22/hour. The contract for this opportunity will encompass full-time hours from mid-August through mid-September. Once trained, there will be seasonal opportunities for related photography work.
Responsibilities and Duties
Product Photography
- Identify exposure
- Track and change filenames
- Follow pre-defined workflow
- Product placement within set parameters
- Product Flagging
- Utilizing tethered cameras to capture images
- Saving and export image files using a variety of software tools
Qualifications and Skills
- Familiarity with Capture One
- Ability to follow prep and shooting guides
