Job description

We are looking for an enthusiastic and adaptable Phlebotomist to join our strong and progressive team in Margate. You will share the CARE values of the trust and work within a close-knit group of people who bring the feeling of community to the team through their hard work and dedication to the people of the area.

Community is the heart of our trust and we are working with primary care colleagues locally to respond to the needs of our patients and we want you to be part of this change. Margate is made up of a diverse patient group with complex needs and by working in a community-based way we can ensure that services are targeted and patient-focused, and we are proactive in our input and response. From the beginning of your journey with us, we want to support you to become excellent clinicians.

As a Band 2 Phlebotomist you will be responsible for carrying out venepuncture and capillary blood sampling for house bound patients within the community setting. This will require good communication and the confidence to escalate any concerns you encounter. You will work closely with all users of our services and their families, friends and carers who all play an invaluable contribution in how our users experience our services. Band 2 Phlebotomists are expected to be kind and responsive but professional and informative and contribute to the quality of the services provided across the health economy.
