The ACT Pharmacy Technician will work at Orrell Park Pharmacy, a family run business for more than 30 years serving the local community of Orrell Park.
Qualifications required for the post
Minimum NVQ Level 3 pharmacy technician
Responsibilities
You will be under the direct supervision of the pharmacist and will carry out day to day activities connected with the preparation and supply of medicines and will provide advice to patients on the use of medicines as well as on general health and lifestyle matters.
Your overall responsibility will be to participate in the whole dispensing process. The role will also involve establishing and developing long term relationships with customers and healthcare professionals, ensuring to always deliver courteous and effective customer service to grow the business and achieve the overall business objectives.
You will be required to assist in the delivery of all commercial pharmacy services, both NHS and private services where appropriate, including blood pressure measurement and stop smoking services.
In this role you will be required to complete administrative records, ensure that these records are adequately maintained. You will effectively manage pharmaceutical stock and equipment, including the administration of receiving, storing, maintaining and issuing. You will be required to assist in the sale of medicines and other merchandise when required.
You will also need to maintain an up-to-date knowledge and understanding of pharmacy issues for the purpose of continuing professional development and work as part of a team.

Salary: £25,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
