We are now on the hunt for a Compliance Manager who has extensive knowledge, understanding and experience to ensure we remain legal and compliant in everything that we do.
What your day to day will look like as our Compliance Manager…
- Heading up compliance and risk management across the Group in accordance with regulatory and industry best practices
- Building a close relationship and becoming the point of contact with the ICAEW by responding to all regulatory questions and concerns and overseeing recommendations implementation
- Updating ICAEW with changes to roles, companies, personnel, responsible individuals, declarations of interest
- Act in role of MLRO, DPO, DPB and Practice Assurance Principal for the Group
- Ensuring all policies, terms, procedures and standards are compliant in adherence to regulators, regularly monitoring, updating and improving
- Overseeing group-wide mandatory training such as AML, GDPR, cyber security, diversity & inclusion, as well as CPD training plan
- Assisting Audit Director with preparation for ICAEW review visits
- Managing all insurance policies
- Taking ownership of the disaster recovery plan, admin breaches and complaints
- Preparing and communicating compliance and risk updates through oral and written reporting, internally and externally
- Staying up to date with accountancy and audit compliance within the UK landscape, initiating and driving change implementation across the Group
- Maintaining an oversight and control of outsourced functions to ensure compliance within UK regulations
- Leading on compliance due diligence throughout the acquisition and merger process
Skills and experience you will have as our new Compliance Manager…
- You’ll be passionate, analytical and totally rock at managing compliance
- You’ll have extensive knowledge of Money Laundering Regulations, Proceeds of Crime Act, Bribery Act, Terrorism Act, Fraud Act and GDPR
- You’ll understand how regulatory bodies work, preferably the ICAEW (not essential)
- You’ll be a great communicator and have the ability to articulate risk and mitigating strategies to the Leadership Team
- You’ll have a proactive attitude, whether a task is complicated or simple, big or small
- You’ll love getting to know people and cultivating long-lasting relationships both internally and externally
