Job Summary

DISPENSING ASSISTANT/ TECHNICIAN, MUIREND PHARMACY, GLASGOW.

Due to an increase in business we currently have an opportunity available for an experienced dispensing assistant or technician to work in our Muirend Pharmacy. This is a modern and technology driven community pharmacy with excellent staff and multiple pharmacist cover to allow a focus on customer care.

A permanent position is available for minimum 30 hours per week, over 5 days Monday-Friday.

Flexible hours but ideally 10am-6pm.

As an organised and customer focused Dispenser, you’ll build relationships with customers from all walks of life and help to meet their unique healthcare needs. Training up to ACT level can be provided to the right candidate after an initial 12 month assessment period.

Great with people, you must be able to provide an amazing service to every customer who comes through our doors and work as part of a small close-knit pharmacy team to make sure everything runs smoothly.

In order to be successful, you MUST have a Dispensing qualification and experience of working in a PHARMACY customer focused environment. Please do not apply if no relevant qualification.

Supporting the Pharmacist your duties will include:

  • Carry out day to day dispensing duties.
  • Complying with legal and professional requirements
  • Tailoring conversations with every customer to ensure they leave your pharmacy feeling informed and confident about their healthcare needs and coaching other pharmacy team members to do the same
  • Delivering efficient dispensary operations.
  • Ordering medicines, labelling, dispensing and endorsing of prescriptions

We are looking for someone who is: A team player Passionate about good customer service Eager to learn and develop their skills Able to work on their own initiative Honest and hardworking. Helping with patient deliveries and a full driving licence although not essential would be viewed favourably.
