Department/Ward: Radiology Ward
Hours: 37.5 HPW Mon-Fri, 9:00-17:00
Pay: £25.00 P/H flat rate
We are currently looking for an enthusiastic, flexible, HCPC registered Radiographer to join the team at Arrowe Park Hospital to carry out general radiographic duties within the Radiology Directorate, including participation in extended service and on-call rotas, until September 2023.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Carrying out patient assessment, imaging and maintenance of associated patient records and observations.
- Undertaking clinical examinations on patients referred for radiography.
- Ensuring that equipment is used safely, appropriately, and only for the task for which it was designed, reporting any malfunctions to the appropriate departmental manager.
- Ensuring the care and comfort of patients in the department and in particular when the examination is being undertaken.
- Maintaining a safe and tidy working environment and high standards of equipment cleanliness.
- Observing and maintaining the highest possible working standards, observing departmental procedures and protocols.
- Preparing individuals, environment and materials appropriately prior to each procedure.
- Performing any tasks for which a radiographer has received training, including those normally performed by other staff, eg. clerical and nursing duties.
- Supporting student radiographers during their practical training in the department as required.

To be successful, you will need:
- BSc or DCR in Diagnostic Radiography.
- Registration with the Health Professional Council as a Radiographer.
- Evidence of training in all radiographic techniques.
- Knowledge of radiation protection, IR(ME)R 2017, IRR 2017.
- To be able to work without direct supervision.
- Experience working within the NHS.
