Job description

Are you a confident, capable, communicative person who enjoys driving and delivering outstanding customer service? Our client is looking to recruit a person who would be happy to work 30 hours per week and deliver pharmaceutical products to customers within a 30 mile radius of Bedford.

Key responsibilities:

  • As a Pharmacy Logistics Driver, you’ll be taking medication to customers in the community and Care Homes and collecting prescription forms from doctor’s surgeries.
  • Risk management and Health and Safety management when meeting patients.
  • You’ll be delivering a high level of patient service and will be the face of our client by providing a compassionate and professional service to many of our clients patients
  • You will be required to assist the pharmacy team in the Pharmacy Dispensing Team activities.
  • Ensuring a great patient experience is delivered at every level through quality and patient satisfaction monitoring and to also ensure effective and relevant quality control measures are in place
  • Maintain the log of the delivery vehicle and ensure that it is kept safe and clean at all times.
  • Must be willing to apply for/or have an Enhanced DBS (this will be paid for by our client if you are offered the role)
Required skills / qualities include:
You must be able to demonstrate a confident and friendly manner, with excellent customer service and organisational skills, a good knowledge of the local area and excellent personal presentation as you will be representing our client in the local community.
  • Be organised and be able to work accurately, with a keen eye for detail
  • Able to work under pressure and thrive working in a fast paced and target driven environment
  • Quality focused with a passion of delivering excellent service and getting it right for our patients
  • Have strong communication skills
  • Be able to plan effectively and work to deadlines
  • Have 2 years’ experience dealing with mental health, old, vulnerable people
  • A Full UK driving license is essential.
Our client is looking to recruit a candidate that is available to work 30 hours per week. You will be required to work the following hours:
Working Tuesday to Friday 12noon - 7pm (these hours can be a little flexible as you will also be required to work one in every 3 Saturdays from 11.30am - 3.30pm. This is a smashing role for someone who enjoys working on their own initiative and enjoys being out on the road but has support of colleagues in the office.
The company will provide the vehicle, sat nav system and all associated items which are necessary for you to complete your role.
