Omnicare pharmacy is looking for qualified dispenser/technicians to work in a city centre Edinburgh branch. The position will be to support existing staff and managers to ensure a high level of pharmaceutical care.
Job description
The dispensary role will involve all aspects of pharmaceutical care from prescription reception, advice and dispensing of prescription medication. Training will be provided to the candidate, including on our PMR system, all dispensary processes and on health and safety modules. This will also be a good opportunity to develop your career as we continue to adopt new technologies to help improve the processes within pharmacy.
Automation supports each branch with the central production of dosette boxes. This allows staff to concentrate on providing pharmacy services to customer.
Criteria for the position:
- An NVQ2 or NVQ3 (or equivalent)
- A Medicines healthcare Assistant Qualification is preferred also
- The drive and ability to build relationship with colleagues, patients and other healthcare professionals.
- Great communication skills.
- Comply with data protection in the delivery of pharmacy services
- Be able to work with all staff to delivery all pharmacy services
