Pharmacy Assistant
Location: London Bridge Hospital
Hours: full Time 37.5 per week

Main Purpose of the post:
This exciting role involves assisting in providing pharmacy technical services, to ensure professional operational standards and excellence in pharmaceutical care and safety are maintained.
As a key member of the Pharmacy Team you will assist in the provision of a comprehensive, high quality pharmacy service which consistently meet the needs of all service users across the London Bridge Hospital Campus.
You will contribute to the day to day running of the Pharmacy, supporting the operational management of the core pharmacy services, including our three dispensaries & aseptic unit, pharmacy procurement, stock control and management, medicines distribution, Omnicell inventory management & care location stock top-up and medicines management to all patient locations.
You will report to the Head Pharmacy Technician with be supported by senior technicians.

Skills and Experience:
Experience in a pharmacy setting (desirable)
Experience of working in a hospital setting (desirable)
Excellent interpersonal skills
IT literate and able to use Microsoft Office
Good written and verbal communication skills
Ability to motivate self
Manage time effectively
Demonstrate good attitude towards learning and development
Qualifications:
Maths, English, Science GCSE (or equivalent) Grade 5 or above (essential)
Level 2 in pharmacy services or equivalent or willingness to enrol within 6 months of employment (essential)
Knowledge and Understanding:
Understands the importance of patient experience and customer service
Understand concept of stock control and the systems used, knowledge of safe and secure handling of medicines and adherence to SOP and legislation (desirable)
Demonstrate an understanding of patient safety initiatives (desirable)
