We are looking for an enthusiastic and hard-working pharmacist who has good clinical skills on which to build on, as well as has a keen interest in training and development.
The role is based in the dispensary on the St Mary’s site and provides clinical leadership for our inpatient pharmacy. You will work alongside the senior lead pharmacist and chief technician for inpatient services as well as a large and friendly team of pharmacists, trainee pharmacists, technicians and assistants.
You will be responsible for the supervision, training and support of our junior Pharmacists and preregistration trainees working within the dispensary
The dispensary on the St Mary’s site is a busy dispensary with the site hosting the majority of acute and emergency work for the Trust, as well as paediatrics and HIV specialist services
- To assist in the provision of a high quality patient focused dispensing service to patients of the Trust, associated hospitals and community clinics.
- To provide clinical and professional leadership to all dispensary staff
- To ensure the supervision, training and development of the pre registration and junior pharmacists.
- To provide clinical pharmacy services, department and ward based, in line with Trust procedures and national legislation.
- To manage the pharmacy late duty service.
