ITH Pharma specialises in the provision of Parenteral Nutrition, chemotherapy and CIVAS. Our team provides flexible services with batch and bespoke items for adults, paediatrics and neonates to both NHS and private hospitals. THE ROLE
As a Pharmaceutical Final Checker you will work as part of a team reporting to a Unit Manager. Your work will include assisting with all aspects of the processing and in-process checks of products. Your main duties would include:
- Checking chemical formulations of orders received from hospitals by calculating ratios, dilutions and formulations of drugs.
- Rectifying any errors with orders by communicating with hospitals via telephone and email.
- Final checking aseptically dispensed products in accordance with defined procedures.
- Labelling and package finished products ready for delivery.
THE PERSON
Skills and qualities required Applicants must have demonstrable strong numeracy skills. You must be logical and able to work systematically in a consistent way, ideally having demonstrated this ability in a fast paced working environment. In addition you will need good oral/telephone and written communication skills in English, be methodical in approach, able to demonstrate close attention to detail and concentrate for long periods of time. An appreciation of customer needs and experience of working as part of a busy team to tight deadlines without losing focus are also essential.
Hours of work are 9.00am to 5.30pm with 45 minutes for lunch, there is also a need to work overtime on 4 Saturdays during the year. We sometimes must work over the contracted finish time to complete the work orders for the day but remember, that is because our work is helping people who depend on us. Whether that is a supply of Parenteral Nutrition or chemotherapy it is vital that they get it on the day when they need it, so we always finish what we have started.
