Job description
CAMBRIDGE PET SITTER/DOG WALKER - must live IN or NEAR TO Cambridge
Calling all animal lovers! Are you somebody that dreams of working with animals? How would you like to spend your days cuddling kitties, feeding ferrets, and dozing off alongside dogs? At The Cambridge Catsitter we will see all kinds of creatures, and we're looking to bring someone onboard that can help us care for all the above, and more!
This is an opportunity for an animal lover to become a part of a young and expanding pet sitting business. Initially, this role would be ideal for something with an existing work commitment, around which they can schedule pet visits. Part-time to begin with, we do anticipate that as the business grows, the successful applicant will have the freedom to take on as many visits as they may want.
The successful candidate will carry out pet sitting visits and dog walks to clients across Cambridge and its surrounding towns & villages. Availability during evenings and weekends is essential.
Any bookings will be given to the successful applicant as and when we receive them. Please be advised they often fall on weekends, bank holidays and school holiday time.
This a part-time, flexible role which we anticipate will grow in demand as the business continues to expand. We must stress that there is no guarantee of weekly work initially (as the requests come from clients as-and-when they need them), but we believe this would benefit the right candidate as a supplementary income stream.

- Be 18 years or over
- Able to register for Self-Assessment (this is a self-employed role)
- Hold a full, clean driving licence with access to a vehicle
- Live within a reasonable distance to Cambridge

- Able to provide at least 2 references
- Have a smartphone with unlimited internet access
Our ideal candidate would:
- Have a passion for animals and their welfare
- Experience caring for pets
- Be dedicated and conscientious
- Be digitally literate and enjoy taking photos
- Have great communication skills
In return, we will provide:
- A Cambridge Catsitter T-Shirt!
- PetPlan Petsitters' Insurance Coverage
- Flexible hours
- Ability to manage your own schedule
- Fuel costs to and from any visits outside of the immediate Cambridge area
- Access to head boops, nose nuzzles and fuzzy faces!
To apply, please send an up to date CV along with a covering letter explaining why you think you'd suit the role.
