Dog Groomer Head Stylist – Handforth 39 hours
Salary: £26,000 per year
Contracted hours: 39 hours per week

We’re Pets at Home – if you’re someone who loves pets, you might know already know about our Pet Care Centres, which includes Pets Grooming salons, and Vets for Pets practices around the UK.
What’s the role?
Our Head Stylists are critical to the success of our Pets Grooming salons. You will be responsible for all aspects of pet grooming and required to confidently deliver a full and thorough groom of a high standard. You will exceed our customers' expectations by providing a great service within the salon. Your excellent communication skills will be fully utilised as you deal with customers and their pets daily.
Who are we looking for?
As Head Stylist, you will lead from the front with a hands-on approach setting the standard of high-quality grooms confidently within the salon, you will inspire your team, inject fun into the workplace and create a truly amazing place to work and world class experience for our customer. It's fast-paced, innovative, fun, and we put people at the very heart of everything we do.
You will be responsible for the standard and delivery of grooming, responding to requests for advanced grooming, upskilling, and motivating your Salon team, whilst building a rapport with our customers, offering a great experience and driving the commercials forward within salon. You will understand the importance of creating the right environment for a good dog grooming experience and drive your team to support with compliance, standards, following procedures and prioritising both colleague and pet welfare.
You will work collaboratively with your line Manager to effectively manage the salon diary to maximise the number of appointments and align bookings to the correct skillset. You will be responsible for accessing the skillset and capability of internal and external candidates within work trials during the recruitment process. Your excellent communication skills will be fully utilised as you deal with customers and their pets daily. You will Partner with the broader pet care ecosystem in their pet care centre, building relationships to help support a talent map and succession plan, developing a talent pool for the salon. We will give you the training, skills, and knowledge to enable you to provide our customers with service that reflects our goals of being the ‘Best Pet Care platform’.
