We are looking to recruit a full-time Personal Assistant to the East Midlands Cancer Alliance Centre for Psychosocial Health. The role will require support to the team.
The EMCA Centre for Psychosocial Health is a project funded by the East Midlands Cancer Alliance and provides high quality psychological assessment, and interventions for adults experiencing mental health issues whilst living with cancer. As a remotely delivered project, the post-holder will be expected to work from home but will also attend in person activities as required e.g. to support the delivery of training sessions or for in person team meetings (approximately once per month).
You will demonstrate the ability to work efficiently, supervising an admin colleague, supporting admin systems as well as managing performance data collection and monitoring. We require an individual with strong communication, skills of empathy, sensitivity and confidentiality.
Applicants must possess excellent organisational skills and be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook, able to consistently demonstrate high levels of accuracy and attention to detail, work well with others and enjoy working without supervision.
The role is a fixed 2 year contract, working 37.5 hours per week

Provide efficient and comprehensive personal assistant support to the East Midlands Cancer Alliance Centre for Psychosocial Health.
Co-ordinate a comprehensive administration and secretarial service, arranging cover, organising and monitoring workloads.
Undertake regular 1:1 supervision sessions and annual personal appraisal and development reviews (PAD) with administration and secretarial staff.
Train and supervise the administration/secretarial staff, providing daily support and advice in relation to duties and responsibilities.
Provide high quality reports within agreed deadlines as required.
To analyse, investigate and resolve queries relating to data quality which will be used to measure performance.
The post holder will be home based but on occasion may be required to travel to Kingsmill Hospital and other locations across the East Midlands.
The post holder must be able to carry out work from home in a confidential and professional manner and have adequate and reliable home broadband connection to enable consistency in remote working.

Responsible for all aspects of personal assistant support, working to optimum levels in terms of efficiency and organisation
Produce high quality reports within agreed deadlines as required
To undertake office duties including complex diary management and e-mail management
Operation of brought forward systems, dealing with telephone calls and enquiries
Production and collation of complex and sensitive documents, ,
To compose and type letters and other documentation as required
Facilitate meetings/investigations/disciplinaries including venue booking, refreshments, producing and circulating agendas, recording attendance and accurate minute taking
Ensure actions resulting from all meetings and other working parties are time lined and undertaken
To source and précis information as required.
Ensure sickness, study and annual leave is recorded on the Electronic Staff Record (ESR) system
To monitor and circulate team reports with regards to training, Personal Appraisal and Development (PAD), and any other database
To monitor and order stock and non-stock items as required
Booking courses, accommodation and travel requests
To coordinate away days, conferences and other events as required
Arranging, typing and collation of ‘My Annual Review’ and reviews of staff ensuring timelines are adhered to.
Responsible for ensuring that accurate work is completed within the time limits and standards set
To work effectively both independently and as a team member
Responsible for own Essential Training requirements
To be able to work flexibly and provide cover which may include the requirement to travel to different sites / and work from home
To undertake any other duties that would be a reasonable expectation of the role
