ABOUT THE ROLE
You will work closely with both Northern Star’s Directors to deliver a variety of tasks to support the delivery of our projects and smooth running of the business.
On the project side, you’ll get involved with organising events, recruiting participants for research, arranging meetings, and processing data. You’ll also help keep Northern Star in good shape, supporting accounts, IT and communications.
This is a part-time role, 12 hours per week, and we’re happy to be flexible around the days and times you’d like to work (within a Monday-Thursday working pattern). The role includes occasional travel to events.
Your role will include but not be limited to:
- Events organisation - booking venues, catering and responding to attendees and speakers
- Note taking at events
- Producing event materials such as printing posters and agendas
- Arranging internal and external meetings
- Maintaining databases and ensuring accuracy; for example, processing research data onto the shared database
- Booking travel and accommodation for members of staff within the team
- Keeping accurate records such as on shared Googledocs and spreadsheets
- Communication: updating our website and social media channels
- Accounts – invoicing clients and reconciling transactions

Salary: £22,000.00-£25,000.00 per year
