Job purpose:

We are looking for a Personal Assistant to support the Chief Operating Officer on a 12 month FTC. The role requires a proactive, and resilient individual who is happy to get stuck into a variety of different tasks, working hand in hand with the COO and senior directors to enable them to meet their strategic objectives.

This role will also support key group wide projects in Bruntwood SciTech and the wider Bruntwood Group, giving a great opportunity to be connected to activity across the SciTech network.


What you’ll be doing:

  • Complex diary management for the COO and Directors, managing schedules and balancing the varied demands on their time
  • Email management, dealing with email correspondence where appropriate
  • Arranging meetings and correspondence for various internal groups and external stakeholders and contacts
  • Proactively preparing directors for their working day
  • Collating and formatting board papers, management papers, presentations and reports
  • Attending meetings and taking succinct minutes
  • Managing expense claims
  • Project management and coordination where required
  • Organisation of conferences, events and site visits
  • Arranging travel and accommodation
  • Identifying and supporting the continuous improvement systems & processes

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience within a similar role at C-Suite level
  • We use Google Suite so if you have experience within this then that would be advantageous, however if you are skilled within Microsoft Office we'd still like to see your application
  • Discreet, professional and enthusiastic
  • Confident to challenge where necessary
  • Comfortable managing Social Media platforms on behalf of Directors
  • Ability to build strong relationships across the organisation
  • Organised, proactive, efficient and calm under pressure
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Personable, friendly and approachable nature
