Role Purpose
Working in tandem with the Enterprise and Innovation team, the Business Development Team will develop opportunities for students to have exposure to the workplace during their courses through a range of activities including employer input to curriculum design, guest speakers, company visits, and “live” projects to solve real business problems and through internships or shorter periods of work experience.
The London Business Development Team is be based at our Coventry University London Campus (University House, Middlesex Street). You will be responsible for meeting stakeholders within the Greater London area generating and managing a series of (mainly SME) employer relationships, to maximise opportunities for all parts of the University Group to work with employers and to achieve mutually beneficial objectives, including TEF, KEF and Graduate Outcomes.
In the role of Business Development Executive, you will develop and manage a portfolio of employers and work closely with members of the internships team and Graduate Talent to ensure optimal matching of students and graduates to opportunities. In addition you will manage Business Development Associate activity, allocating a caseload as appropriate to achieve targets.
You will build and maintain relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders, identifying opportunities for collaborations with the aim to achieve optimal outcomes.
Person Specification
- Educated to Degree level or equivalent professional qualification / experience
- Experience of working in a target- driven environment
- Experience of working in a customer driven environment
- Experience of making decisions and analysing information to achieve results
- Experience of working in a higher education environment would be an advantage
