An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious and dynamic individual to join the Surgery, Women and Children’s Division at the Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust as a Performance and Operations Manager, supporting the Assistant General Manager/Head of Service. Working collaboratively with the Clinical Lead, Clinicians and Matrons, the Performance and Operations Manager will be responsible for ensuring effective and efficient management of the operational functions within one of the Division’s Clinical business units. To effectively and efficiently manage the service’s performance, ensuring the relevant standards are achieved and taking corrective action when required. 2. To monitor the operational performance of the department, escalating issues where appropriate. This may involve the analysis and interpretation of complex facts or situations and may involve the comparison of a range of options. 3. In collaboration with the Head of Service, ensure all performance indicators and national standards, such as Clinical Negligence Schemes for Trusts (CNST) and Immediate and Essential Actions (Ockenden Report) are achieved. To manage the effectiveness and efficiency of the designated specialties within the Division, ensuring the relevant standards are achieved. 2. To monitor the operational performance of the department, escalating issues where appropriate. This may involve the analysis and interpretation of complex facts or situations and may involve the comparison of a range of options. 3. In collaboration with the Assistant General Manager, ensure all performance indicators and national standards are achieved (e.g. RTT, DM01, Cancer Wait times and Time in ED) to deliver a high quality, effective service, where patient experience and patient safety is central. 4. Compile reports and statistical information in line with the Trust’s reporting framework. 5. Provide detailed feedback of performance from a variety of information systems at Trust wide and monthly performance meetings. 6. To support with data entry and lead data validation.
