THE POST – People Operations Manager
University of the West of Scotland (UWS) have an exciting opportunity for a People Operations Manager to join their team, to work in an innovative modern university, with 4 vibrant campuses across the West of Scotland as well as a campus in Central London. This post will lead an established and welcoming team with an exciting vision for the future! We are seeking a professional with experience of leading an operational People team to support managers across the organisation. A passionate and driven individual, you will enjoy the fast pace and varied nature of the workload. Leading the People Operations Team within the wider People & OD department, you will drive the provision of a proactive and effective People operations service.
You should have proven experience in a People management role and be able to evidence successes in;
- Leading and managing a team of professionals/business partners
- Significant People operational management, including complex case management
- Change management
- Leading a recruitment and talent acquisition function
- Trade Unions relationships in a complex environment
You will bring effective leadership skills with an inclusive approach in managing a team of competent professionals. You must be adept at communicating, influencing, and coaching with a proven capacity to engage, motivate and empower staff as well as a proven aptitude in enabling high performance. With drive, enthusiasm, and tenacity you will be accustomed to operating within busy environment.
