Are you looking for a new challenge? Do you want the chance to work as part of a dedicated and innovative MDT, where you will help to improve the lives of patients who are in the Stroke unit at St John’s Hospital?
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Therapy Clinical Support Worker to help support the Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy staff in delivering assessment and rehabilitation to patients within this exciting clinical area. The role includes following a delegated treatment plan devised by the Therapy staff to help clients improve their quality of life by helping them compensate for limitations. The varied role includes tasks such as assisting patients with activities of daily living, working on tasks to improve cognition and memory. It also involves considerable manual handling, maximising mobility by delivering strength and balance programmes. The role will also involve some administrative work which includes ordering equipment and assist with the discharge process.
The successful applicant would be joining a very stable and dynamic multi- disciplinary team with a passion for integrated working who puts patient outcomes and their experience at the heart of the process. It is essential that the successful applicant has previous health and social care experience. There is flexibility to work these hours over either 4 or 5 days.

This post requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/ record. If the post holder is not a current PVG member for the required regulatory group (i.e. child and/or adult) then an application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before they can begin in post.
Please note: As this post is part-time the salary will be pro-rata.
