The Role


Beatport is seeking a full-time People & Culture Manager HR Coordinator / Office Manager in London to:


1) manage UK HR duties alongside the Finance and People & Culture teams and


2) coordinate day-to-day needs in Beatport’s new London office and provide admin support to the company’s senior executives.


The successful People and Culture Manager will have the following:


  • 2-3 years of HR background in a similar role.
  • CIPD Member, working towards or having CIPD Level 2 qualification.
  • Proven experience in successful operational HR delivery and management in the tech corporate environment
  • Proven experience in managing employee relations cases
  • A methodical and organised approach with outstanding attention to detail
  • The ability to build trusting and effective relationships, work with diplomacy and maintain confidentiality at all times
  • Ability to work with conflicting and evolving priorities.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of UK Employment Law and best practice

Responsibilities: Human Resources


  • Work with Finance, and People & Culture to launch and improve HR systems and processes across the company.
  • Manage day-to-day HR needs in the UK and Europe, including drafting employment agreements, processing monthly payroll, managing systems and responding to employee requests/questions
  • Assist in communication with employees regarding critical company-wide conversations and HR-specific topics
  • Contribute to the continued development of Beatport’s creative and unique people operations strategy and Beatport’s community involvement and diversity, equity & inclusion efforts

Responsibilities: People Experience


  • Take a lead role in managing Beatport’s new Farringdon offices, including overseeing a construction buildout, sourcing decorations and furnishings and organising the moving process. This will involve coordinating with building staff and vendors and tracking costs against the budget. Our new lease begins on 15 February, and we are moving from a small office in the co-working space at 180 Strand (the lease runs through 15 March)
  • Attend to the reception desk and welcome visitors during Beatport’s work day; this role will require office attendance 3-4 days per week.
  • Assist in managing office operations and supplies
  • Support activities supporting internal culture, industry involvement, etc., for Beatport’s UK team (~50 UK employees across offices in London and Brighton and remote workers). Manage internal office events such as happy hours, meals and team-building activities
  • Work with operations and the building team for any issues or needs in the office.
  • Support the company’s executive team (primarily the CEO and CFO) on administrative tasks such as scheduling and booking travel

Requirements


1-2 Years Experience within HR or a similar environment

Excellent Communication, prioritisation and organisational skills

Strong attention to detail

Ability to work with senior Executives and external partnering companies

Interest in Beatport musical/cultural space is a bonus
