Job description
MCR Pathways is a national charity dedicated to supporting disadvantaged, care-experienced or vulnerable young people find, grow and use their talent through 1:1 mentoring. We are currently seeking an experienced and passionate HR/People Director to join our team and help us drive our mission forward by fostering a diverse, inclusive, and high-performing work environment. The HR/People Director will play a critical role in leading Equity, Diversity & Inclusion (ED&I) initiatives, managing performance appraisals, and coaching and developing our management team. They will work closely with the CEO to formulate strategy and have overall responsibility for leading and delivering our ambitions for HR and People.
You will bring broad generalist HR expertise, the ability to inspire, mentor and develop colleagues and a passion for working thoroughly at high pace.
The successful candidate will be passionate about MCR’s mission and the power of HR to enable shared leadership and support an inclusive, high-performance culture. We want to be known as one of the best third sector organisations to work for. You will be an experienced HR professional, with expertise across the full spectrum of HR activity including organisational development, ED&I, performance management, recruitment, selection, wellbeing and employee relations.
You will be comfortable working at pace and thrive on achieving challenging objectives and meeting rapidly changing demands. You will have a track record of coaching and supporting leaders and managers, organisational and cultural development, improving systems and processes, a strong understanding of HR best practice (including ED&I and safeguarding), and most importantly be passionate, driven and excited by the opportunity to make a tangible, sustainable difference to the organisation.
