Are you a passionate and committed people professional who can adapt and be proactive in a fast-paced environment? We are seeking a People Advisor to join our team in the Emergency Operations Centres, located in Exeter and Bristol, where you will be provided with support to develop your skills and knowledge to advise leaders on employee relations matters and policy.
The EOCs are critical to our ambulance operations. They are the central coordinating function for all our emergency and urgent care ambulance services. This is a fantastic opportunity to work collaboratively with and support the People Partner and Senior People Partner for the EOC, where you can expect to be involved with organisation design, policy improvements and employee relations investigations.
- Shadowing the People Partner and supporting with investigations and hearings to gain exposure of employee relations case management.
- Participate in job evaluation and flexible working panels.
- Support Serious Misconduct Hearings and Grievance Hearings.
- Deal with queries from employees and managers on employment matters via the central People Partner inbox.
- Support the development of projects, policies and initiatives in line with the People strategy and as guided by the People Partner and Senior People Partner.
- Become familiar with the mechanisms of trade union interaction and ensure your approach continue to support the implementation of a partnership approach and develop and maintain good working relationships with representatives of Trade Unions and staff organisation.
- Participate in recruitment assessment centres trustwide.
