Pension Analyst
London, Paddington
To support the Head of Pensions and Trustee Boards (and Sub Committees) in the delivery of their regulatory duties. Ensure all global pension and benefit arrangements remain appropriate and processes and procedures operate efficiently and effectively for all stakeholders. Operate as part of the Executive Management Team for the Boards of Trustees and their committees in managing the relationships with administrators, insurers and brokers.
Accountabilities
Manage the day-to-day delivery of services from all UK pension suppliers/advisers- Oversee and review all pension related processes, procedures & reconciliations to ensure service delivery in line with regulatory and scheme trustee requirements
- Ensure quality standards are maintained and service level agreements adhered to
- Ensure communications to members/employees are clear and relevant and maintained
- Undertake tri-annual auto enrolment process with business
- Provide Governance Committee secretarial & monitory services for UK DC Master Trust and Excepted Life Assurance Scheme
- Write & submit discretions to Governance Committee for the payment of life assurance benefits
- Ensure all pension related communications from Trustees and company are compliant with relevant legislation and meet the quality standards and brand guidelines of both parties.
- Ensure all statutory pension reporting is completed
- Analyse and interpret changes to pensions legislation and work with advisors to develop and implement solutions,
- Be a source of technical pension advice for Senior company employees and HR colleagues
- Work closely with Pension Trustees, company colleagues, service providers, pension administration providers, scheme legal advisors, trustee actuaries etc, so that the overall pension service is co-ordinated and is delivered effectively to a high quality.
- Work closely with Group Insurance team, external insurers, Local OpCo’s, Vodafone Captive and insurance advisers to ensure appropriate risk benefits in place across Vodafone globally
- Work closely with Pension, Investment & Risk manager to ensure contracts are up to date and security review are undertaken
- Develop UK financial wellbeing solutions alongside colleagues
- To keep up to date with developments in the global pensions/benefits area through professional contacts and industry groups. To utilise this knowledge to ensure that best practice is followed and service delivery is maintained.
General skills, knowledge and experience
Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to write business letters and reports to Trustee Boards.- High level of numeracy. Ability to undertake calculations of financial data on spread sheets and the ability to design reports so that information can be extracted from Finance and HR systems.
- Well organised and self-motivated.
Must have technical / professional qualifications :
Proven pensions experience
Desirable:
APMI qualified, although not essential.
