Graphic Designer
Salary details: £31,122- £32,112
35 hours per week, fixed-term 12 months
The Royal Borough of Greenwich has a brilliant opportunity to hire a creative, passionate, and enthusiastic graphic designer with exciting and diverse portfolio, to join the in-house creative team on a 12-month posting.
The role will see you work with services across the Council and contribute to the creation of vital campaigns from concept to delivery. We want someone who is confident in working independently but also eager to work as part of a large creative team, collaborate on briefs and bring fresh ideas into the room.
Your main responsibilities will be:
- Create on-brand visual designs for our campaigns and communications to a high standard
- Collaborate with other team members to deliver large and high-profile projects
- Be a brand guardian for the Council, mastering the guidance and providing advice and support to colleagues, stakeholders, and partners on how to use the brand
- Contribute to the creative stages of campaign planning making recommendations based on knowledge and understandings of current trends and best practice
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across the Council to keep projects on track and deliver projects as per the brief
- Present design work at various stages to stakeholders for review and final approval
- Bring innovative ideas and creativity to the team
What we are looking for:
- Excellent knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite and a dedication to continue to grow your knowledge and skills
- Experience in design and branding projects, design implementation, print and digital
- Effective communication and presentation skills
- Portfolio full of campaigns, imaginative brands and a strong range of work that shows your skill and creativity as a designer
- Passion for creativity and desire to make a difference through your experience and knowledge
- Strong time-management, team-working and attention to detail
- Desirable, but not essential:
- Motion Design skills and Video editing skills: our creative team has both a full time Motion Graphic Designer and a Filmographer, so any talent in those areas would be desirable
- A knowledge of councils/local government

You will be working alongside a collaborative team of animators, video producers, experienced creative directors, graphic designers, and all-around design enthusiasts.

We are based in Woolwich, and the role will be hybrid with two days’ working from office required.
