Mae’n gyfle gwych ar gyfer trydanwr sydd ag o leiaf dwy flynedd o brofiad un ai mewn pwll glo neu ddiwydiant arall. Mae Big Pit yn bwll glo go iawn ac yn un o amgueddfeydd mwyngloddio mwyaf blaenllaw Prydain. Mae ar agor 7 diwrnod yr wythnos, 9.30am–5pm. Mae Trydanwr Glofa yn gweithio patrwm shifft dydd Llun i ddydd Gwener 9am–5pm, ond gan weithio un penwythnos mewn tri (Sadwrn a Sul). Mae’r amgueddfa yn rhan o dirwedd ddiwydiannol unigryw sydd yn Safle Treftadaeth Byd UNESCO, ac mae wedi ennill gwobrau. Mae’n croesawu dros 100,000 o ymwelwyr y flwyddyn ar y teithiau tanddaearol byd-enwog, lle caiff pobl deithio 300 troedfedd i grombil y ddaear i gael gweld sut oedd bywyd i’r miloedd o ddynion oedd yn gweithio ar y ffas lo. Mae Big Pit yn fwy na gweithle. Mae’n amgueddfa arbennig iawn, gyda theimlad cryf o berchnogaeth a phwyslais ar waith tîm.

Are you a qualified electrician and looking for a role that’s a little different? Are you also keen to be part of a team that keep the history and heritage of Welsh Coal Mining alive?
If you do, being one of our small team of electricians could be the job for you.

It’s a great opportunity for an electrician with at least a couple of years’ experience either in a mine or other industry. We will give you all the training you need to maintain the surface and underground systems, the mineshaft, our various buildings and machinery and to act as a banksperson. The role is vital for ensuring our electrical equipment is always safe and functional for our visitors.

Big Pit is a real coal mine and one of Britain's leading mining museums. Open 7 days a week 9.30am-5pm. The Mine Electrician role is a shift pattern based around Mon-Fri 0900-1700 however there is one weekend in three working (Sat & Sun). It is award-winning and set in a unique industrial landscape designated a World Heritage Site by UNESCO and retains many features of its former life as a working coal mine. It welcomes over 100,000 visitors a year to its world famous Underground Tours where people experience going 300 feet underground to see what life was like for thousands of men who worked at the coal face. Big Pit is not just a place to work. It is a very special museum, where there is a strong culture of ownership and teamwork.
