CORE PURPOSE

We are looking for a confident and enthusiastic individual who has a passion for sport and enjoys working with young people.


Working week

Monday to Friday term time only

Daily hours to be confirmed

30 hours per week total


Start date

September 2023 (possible earlier start for the right candidate)


Qualification

Sports TA Level 3


Duration

16 months


JOB ROLE/SPEC.


  • Be able to communicate effectively with young people.
  • Work well within a team.
  • Have an understanding and commitment in delivering the PE National Curriculum.
  • Be able to demonstrate evidence of subject knowledge and expertise within sport and Physical Education.
  • Show an understanding for skill progression.
  • Confidence and competence to lead small groups of children during lessons and at break and lunchtimes and in clubs.
  • Knowledge and understanding of how to safely use and maintain sporting equipment.
  • A commitment to supporting and enhancing the school’s sporting and healthy lifestyle profile.
  • Support positive behaviour within lessons and throughout school.
  • Ability to demonstrate a clear understanding of good primary practice.
  • Ability to critically self-evaluate practices as a tool for improvement.
  • Be able to demonstrate good organizational skills.
  • Show a good level of computer/technology literacy.

Essential qualifications

Maths and English at GCSE grade A-C (4-9)
