This is a Payroll Administrator role for a number cruncher, someone who can look at financial data and spot a mistake, someone who is naturally drawn to figures! My client only asks for 6 months experience in finance as a prerequisite, and it would benefit to have a real passion for it and want to earn a living in and around numbers.
Operating as a Payroll Administrator you will be underpinning the Payroll Manager, if you enjoy variation and have an analytical mind then this role is ideal. You will be introduced to the whole payroll process from start to finish including year end, it isn’t essential you have done end to end payroll but must be eager to expand your knowledge and want to learn.
Another important aspect of this role is providing great customer service and being able to handle any internal queries with ease. As I am sure you understand, people want to be paid on time and correctly meaning you need to have an eye for attention to detail and be able to adhere to strict deadlines.
Payroll is a constantly evolving role, with there always being new starters/leavers, keeping up with PAYE legislations, and processing weekly or monthly payroll, you will never feel bored or unchallenged.
