Post title: Payroll Officer
Location: Andersons Chambers, Market Street, Galashiels TD1 3AF
Salary: £26,517.40 to £27500.20 depending on experience
Hours: 35 hours per week - Flexible working times during monthly payroll week required
OVERALL PURPOSE
To work with the payroll staff team in processing a monthly payroll service for clients.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES
- Carry out monthly payroll process for clients.
- Maintain and update Sage Payroll system to ensure the efficient recording and processing of information.
- Ensure effective communications with staff, clients, agencies and other organisations as required.
- Work closely with all staff ensuring effective consultation, communication and support.

EDUCATION / QUALIFICATIONS
Essential
Good standard of education with a minimum of 3 Standard Grades including English and Mathematics.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
Essential
Experience in all aspects of Sage payroll processing, including a current working knowledge of RTI.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Good organisational skills.
Ability to work with figures accurately.
Ability to work on own initiative and working to deadlines.
Accuracy and attention to detail.
