At urbanest we are looking for an friendly and Exhibition Assistant to join our City team. Please note this role is offered on a 12-month fixed term contract.
Our urbanest City property hosts a unique historic attraction – a portion of the Roman Wall! In collaboration with Museum of London this important piece of London’s history has been showcased alongside an Exhibition of unique artefacts. The exhibition space will be opened to the public – 9am to 6pm every day of the week.
In your role you will provide a warm welcome to visitors of the exhibition, ensure the space remains presentable and ensure guests maintain a respectful distance from the wall and historic artefacts.
Hours of work: 08:30-18:30 with 1 hour unpaid lunch break.
Shift pattern: Working on a 4-of-4-off basis (or set shifts - to be agreed with hiring managers)
Role responsibilities:
Supporting our visitors
- Provide excellent customer service to all visitors.
- Offer a friendly welcome to all guests. Register visitors, advise them on where to store their personable belongings and collect tickets as appropriate.
- Provide key information to visitors and signpost guests to further information
Maintaining the Exhibition Space
- Conduct regular patrols and inspections of the exhibition space – escalating any issues and concerns to the urbanest Operations teams where required.
- Clean the exhibition space to maintain the excellent appearance of the area – polishing handrails and dusting the exhibition information stations.
- Collaborate with the on-site café team to ensure safe access of visitors, staff and contractors.
- Protect the artefacts by ensuring the guests maintain a respectful distance from the wall and other historic pieces on display.
- Deal with issues or incidents and calling the emergency services when needed.
- Understand the importance of Health & Safety and Fire Safety in all that you do and report anything that is not safe.
