Job description
As part of the Business Services Centre, you will undertake an Employee Administration service on behalf of Nottinghamshire County Council departments, Pension Fund and external clients. This will include the timely and accurate processing of information on new starters, leavers and occupancy changes on the payroll and HR systems and the creation of employees contracts.
Whilst this post is currently payroll based, the team is merging with the Council’s recruitment service, so the remit of the role will expand to include the placements of job adverts, processing of pre-employment checks (including DBS administration) and providing guidance and advice on the recruitment and advertising service.
You will need to be organised, with a positive and flexible approach to teamwork. Good communication, literacy and numeracy skills are essential, as is knowledge of computerised / manual systems and business processes. You must be able to work to deadlines, in a logical and methodical manner, using your own initiative and be able to follow agreed procedures and guidelines, consistently achieving a high level of accuracy. An understanding of customer service and the boundaries of confidentiality is also essential.
